Album Description

About a year ago, or maybe more, I don’t remember exactly, a friend who was looking up prices for my tapes told me he found something like a journalistic article where they talked about me and even speculated about my age and when I started producing music. Honestly, that text is fairly accurate in one point, and if I remember correctly, it said I started producing music in 2017, when in reality I started in 2018, just one year later.

Why am I telling this? Because during that period, many underground rappers and producers from the SoundCloud era were becoming well known. Many of them were the ones who made me interested in music production and gave me the motivation to learn how to use FL Studio.

From that time, I really enjoyed beats that sounded like video game music, from producers like Pi’erre Bourne. I don’t know how to explain it, but his beats had a sound that I loved. Later, when I started producing myself, I realized that his beats were actually quite easy to replicate. This was a huge surprise: realizing that something I considered so magnificent could be made in less than an hour in FL Studio, in some cases in less than 40 or even 30 minutes.

This led me to start making beats every day. Back then, I was easily making between 3 and 5 beats a day, until eventually I got bored and started producing other genres, such as Pluggnb, Hyperpop, and other strange mixes.

Some time ago, I released an album called Beauty Is Something Simple, because the idea that those beats had an easy starting point, like Pi’erre’s beats, made me understand that even though the beats that made up the album were complex, the foundation itself was actually very simple.

Today, I want to keep expanding that concept, but now with a slightly different sound that still preserves the same foundation. Beauty will always be something simple, no matter how many layers exist in the sound, in the clothes you wear, or in the makeup you apply. It’s something you should always remember.
