Album Description
Available in:
Some time ago, and if I’m honest I don’t remember exactly when, I had a terrible day when it came to people’s comments. Generally, it’s not something that affects me. I consider myself a pragmatic person, and it’s very hard for something to truly bother me. But something happened that day. There was literally someone commenting on one of my first Jazz albums asking if I had used AI to generate the tracks, on an album from 2022.

I mean, I don’t like to insult or question someone’s intelligence, but at the very least they were not the sharpest knife in the kitchen. This, along with the constant messages I receive on my Instagram account asking whether my beats on albums like Beauty Is Still Something Simple are made with AI, even though they were literally created during live streams, makes me think that people are living in a constant paranoia about whether what they’re listening to is AI or not.

This honestly made me tired of it and led me to disable YouTube comments. I enjoy making music, albums, mixtapes, and all kinds of beats, but I feel that artists nowadays are subjected to public scrutiny simply for doing what they love. It’s almost as if we have to justify our desire to create something so that listeners don’t feel bad about themselves.

In the comments replying to that post, someone suggested making an album called This Isn’t AI Jazz. I immediately said, “Hey, that’s a really good idea,” and here we are. Enjoy the album, and know that nothing here was touched by AI. These are simply samples from real artists and a manga panel, all properly credited.

Sampled Artist:
