User Album Review
To put it plainly, this album is literally the point by point sequel of its predecessor, employing many of the same techniques and firmly nestling itself in the same niche. Celebratory choruses that invite audience participation are the order of the day, at times becoming so joyous and anthem-like that they betray the dark imagery depicted on the album cover. The services of the famed black metal artist Necrolord is not necessarily out of place given the band's lyrical affinity with fantasy based storytelling, and it may have actually brought a good amount of attention to this band that might otherwise not have come to it. And along for the ride is a somewhat different approach to production out of Detlef Mohrmann where the drums have been extremely de-emphasized in favor of a louder guitar presence, which goes along with the association to the still active Norse black metal scene, though unfortunately it proves to be a liability that harms what would otherwise had been a perfect restatement of what made "World Of Black And Silver" a timeless classic.
