"The Chosen One" is the Semi-Hero ending theme from Shadow the Hedgehog. It was performed by A2.
The song "Broken" by Sins Of A Divine Mother was originally meant to be the Semi-Hero ending theme. However, Sega was unable to contact the singer and songwriter, Wiley Beecher, so it could not be used for the game. Two of the members of Sins Of A Divine Mother, Odyssey and Kyle Keiderling, created the new band A2 (later renamed to Mona Lisa Overdrive). They then wrote "The Chosen One" as a replacement track.
