"Rakata" is the third track & single of the fifth full-length of Venezulean artist Arca, Kick II. The track begins at the 2:44 of the video.
The song was recorded in 2020 and had a verison with an artist named Safety Trance and was posted a snippet on Arca's instagram story, however that version was scrapped (Safety Trance is not credited on the track "Rakata" producers/writers anymore for unknown reasons) On November 3, 2021, Arca annouced a photo of the A / B music video ("Prada") on and stated in the text "tomorrow", and an ATRL fourm also stated that "Prada" & "Rakata" that the two songs would be released on the same date.
"Rakata" is about "seduction, about wanting to devour the entire world out of a desire to fuck, without shame, free from condemnation, about sex as a life impulse in the face of death." The lyric; "con estas ganas de follar ya" literally translates to "with this urge to fuck."
"Rakata" is also the onomatopoeia for throwing or hitting something/someone, when the word is used in music it can refer also to the body-to-body sounds in a sexual relation. "Rakata" is also a widely used word in the Reggaeton rhythms in some Latin American popular songs.
