The song became controversial when the lead singer (at a concert) announced the song was about Paris Hilton. A music video was made for the single. "Rip It Up" was originally titled "Nothing to Lose". It debuted at #67 on the ARIA Singles Chart and peaked at #49 for one week before leaving the top 50 altogether.
