Kodi and the AudioDB database access

The last few weeks, it seems that I can no longer update fanart and artist bios into KODI.
for instance Jay and the techiques. I have no fanart picture, the image is on the AudioDB database, but will not import to KODI.
I keep reading about an API, this is all greek to me, never had an issue in the last 4-5 yrs,
Has something changed?
Do I need to somehow put the new API into KODI somewhere?

Kodi already has an API key as far as I know, you should not need to change anything. But any questions should go to them really or the Add-on author.
