Indo is the recording name of Lamar "Hula" Mahone, a UK Garage artist best known for the single "R U Sleeping," a defining track of the genre in the late 1990s. Built around an infectious vocal hook and the 2-step groove characteristic of the era, the song became a fixture of the UK underground scene and has continued to be played on dancefloors and playlists in the decades since.

Mahone is also known as one half of The Outhere Brothers, a multi-platinum act whose hits combined hip-hop, house and party music and achieved chart success internationally throughout the 1990s. This background gave him a presence in both UK and US dance music scenes prior to his work as Indo.

As Indo, Mahone applied his transatlantic experience to UK Garage, combining soulful vocals with club-oriented production during a period of rapid development for the genre. "R U Sleeping" remains his most recognised release and is regarded as a representative record of the UK Garage sound of its time.
