Armani White (born Enoch Armani Tolbert, September 25, 1996) is an American rapper and songwriter from West Philadelphia known for blending introspective storytelling with energetic production. Beginning his musical journey in elementary school, White developed his craft through the influence of artists like Kanye West, Ludacris, and Eminem before emerging as a notable figure in contemporary hip-hop. His distinctive approach fuses dense lyricism with melodic sensibilities, creating what he describes as "happy hood music" that reflects his experiences navigating personal trauma and resilience.
White's breakthrough came with the 2015 single "Stick Up", which earned him recognition as an MTV Wrap Up Artist to Watch and led to early career momentum including performances alongside Big Sean, GoldLink, and Big K.R.I.T. Following his 2019 debut album "Keep in Touch", White released the 2021 EP "Things We Lost in the Fire" before achieving mainstream success in 2022 with the viral single "Billie Eilish", which peaked at number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spawned a remix featuring Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, and N.O.R.E. The "Billie Eilish" remix and subsequent success led to his signing with Def Jam Recordings in 2022. Additional notable collaborations include features from Denzel Curry on "GOATED" and ASAP Ferg on "Silver Tooth", while his 2024 album "Road to CASABLANCO" included appearances from Busta Rhymes, ASAP Ferg, and Fivio Foreign. In 2024, White became a U.S. Global Music Ambassador and in January 2025 performed at his first NFL halftime show for the NFC Championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders.
