Maliibu Miitch, born Jennifer Jade Roberts on March 4, 1991, in Charlotte, North Carolina, was raised in the South Bronx, New York, identifying as "Blasian" (Afro-Asian). She began rapping in 2009 at 18, driven by the Bronx’s hip-hop culture. Initially part of the duo Malibu N Helene, she went solo with a raw style, sharp lyrics, and a fierce, street-rooted feminist energy. Pitchfork hailed her as NYC’s “best new rapper.” Her mixtapes and performances, like ASCP’s "On The Come Up" (2019), boosted her profile. She acted in Rap Sh!t (HBO, 2022) and Insecure (2016), and contributed to the Message in the Music (2021) soundtrack.
