Artist Biography

Tolou grew up in Tromsø with a Norwegian mother and a Nigerian father, and from a young age, she has dreamed of standing behind the microphone. The talented artist spent most of last year in LA, where she secured management and worked with several star producers.

Tolou draws inspiration from artists like Beyoncé and Rihanna, and when she sings about being "the beauty and the boss" in her debut single "Coco," she speaks of women she admires and aspires to be.

She was signed directly by Sir Lucian Grainge (CEO and Chairman of Universal Music Group) in their first meeting. Since then, she has released several critically acclaimed singles that have been played on NRK P3 and P1 here in Norway, and she is now promoting her brand-new EP International Girl, Pt. 1.

Tolou merges afrobeats and Scandinavian pop into a style she calls Arctic Afropop. She is now preparing to take on larger stages and is determined to bring joy to people through her music - it's only a matter of time before everyone knows her name!
