Artist Biography
Available in:
100 Watt Vipers is a blues-rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 2013 by guitarist Paul Joseph and drummer/vocalist DJ Riddick. The original duo built its sound around distorted electric guitar, drums, and a stripped-down, high-energy approach to blues and garage rock. Its early releases include Something Wicked Comes This Way (2014), Cold Sunday Blues and Hellbound Train Rollin (both 2016), Salvation Blues, and Holy Water (2018).

After the original lineup ended in 2018, Paul Joseph relaunched 100 Watt Vipers with a new lineup in 2024. On Wired for Power, released April 21, Joseph handled guitars, bass, production, and engineering, with Robert Zawisza on vocals and Danny P. Harkin on drums. Backed by Blood followed on November 30, with Zawisza on vocals, Joseph on guitar and production, and Brian Love on drums. Both releases continue the band's raw, guitar-led heavy blues and rock sound.
