Balcon sans princesse is an independent pop-rock group originating from Shawinigan and based in Trois-Rivières.

Founded in 2019 by Félix Bruneau and Xavier Laverdière, the group completed its lineup with Dereck Pichette and Thomas Bertrand. Since then, they have performed in local venues such as Zénob, Gambrinus, Entité, Backstore, Cabaret de l'Amphithéâtre Cogeco, and La Bezotte.

In September 2021, they released their first EP "Dans un autre rêve," which was well received by the public. Their successful single, "Café," was also accompanied by a music video the following year.

Balcon sans princesse released their single "Laisse-moi (le temps)" in April 2023. This single quickly gained listens and reached the top spot on the French-language chart of radio CFOU 89.1. In June 2023, they unveiled their second single titled "Me vois-tu le soir?", which is taken from their upcoming album currently in production.

In August 2023, they participated in the lineup of L'Ultime Édition - Festival de la Solidarité Musicale alongside Violett Pi, Liliane Pellerin, Pourpre, Les Tireux de Roches, Lydia Képinsky, Renard Blanc, and Les Frères Lemay.

They opened for Malaimé Soleil at Backstore on November 11, 2023, and for Jérôme 50 on February 9, 2024, at the Amphithéâtre Cogeco in Trois-Rivières.

The group is known for their engaging performances. They are currently working on their first full-length album, scheduled for release in 2024.
