The artist and producer ARY (Ariadne Loinsworth) is one of the most distinctive voices in Norwegian alt-pop. The Oslo-based musician truly made her mark with her debut album For Evig (2022) – a self-produced and personal work about the grief of losing her twin brother. The album was a critical success and earned her both the Spellemann Award for Electronica of the Year and the Music Publishers' Prize for Work of the Year.
ARY has also built a name for herself as a live artist, known for a stage presence that has led critics to compare her to international stars.
In April this year, she released her second album, Darkstar – written, produced, and recorded in her own apartment in Oslo. Where the debut was about grief, Darkstar takes things a step further, exploring what it's like to meet an unknown version of yourself. The album opens with the dark, cinematic track "Kill Me," and moves through a soundscape of nightclub culture, intricate arpeggios, and raw, haunting vocals – featured on tracks such as "Withering Rose," "Bleeding Hearts," and "Werewolves."
Now ARY is bringing the new album to the stage – a chance to experience one of Norwegian music's most distinctive and daring artistic expressions up close.
