He was one of the protagonists of Italian psychedelic rock and progressive rock and was defined as "the most original of Italian singer-songwriters and the most intransigent towards his musical convictions" , "an intelligent and original artist, a case rare in Italy, a tireless "cultural agitator" son in all respects of the seventies, of which he was a great protagonist"
