Sophie Calle, born in Paris on October 9, 1953, is a French visual artist, photographer, writer and director.
Her work as an artist consists of turning her life, and in particular the most intimate moments, into a work. To do this, she uses all possible media: books, photos, videos, films, performances, music.
She published in 2018 the triple vinyl "Souris Calle " dedicated to her cat Souris, who died in 2014 during the exhibition of the same name.
Among the other artists featured on the records: Pharell Williams, Raphael, Brigitte, Jean-Michel Jarre, Michael Stipe (the voice of the group R.E.M.), The National, Pascal Comelade, Miossec, Christophe, Benjamin Biolay, Irène Jacob, Clarika, Lou Doillon, Stephan Eicher, Nicola Sirkis, Alex Beaupain ... and Bono, the singer of U2, who opens the exhibition with a spoken text on a musical background of his own composition, as a tribute to the cat Souris.
