Janet Robin (born 1966) is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, film and television composer, and guitar coach. Robin was named on the Top 50 Acoustic Guitarists Bonus List in Guitar Player in 2017.

Los Angeles, CA, native Janet Robin was first drawn to music by the inspiration of a musically inclined brother. When she was around six years old, she took guitar lessons and trained in both classical and folk. After about four years, she switched to electric rock, studying under a local man named Randy Rhoads. After years of practice and playing little gigs at colleges and clubs or wherever she could, Robin got her first real break when her talent won her the position of guitarist for Lindsey Buckingham, who was a one-time member of Fleetwood Mac. Robin gained lots of experience touring through the United States and Canada with the band. After a few years, though, she had earned enough confidence to try a solo career. Over the years, Robin has worked with Colin Hay, the Wild Colonials, the Smithereens, Ann and Nancy Wilson, the BusBoys, Dan Hicks, and many others. Branching out on her own wasn't easy, but in 1998 she finished recording her debut album, Open the Door, released under the Little Sister Records label. The album carries 13 original tracks. Her sophomore effort is titled Out from Under and hit the market in January of 2001. Some of the pop/rock tracks on Robin's works are "Brownstone," "Second Look," "Will U Still Kiss Me," "How Many Times Before," and "Catch My Breath." Though Robin does appear on-stage alone at times, she also works a lot with an impressive band that consists of bassist Bryan Beller, guitarist and background vocalist Mark Karan, drummer Joe Travers, and guitarist Rick Musallam.
