German classics trio founded in 1984 by Wilhelm F. Walz and Jörg Metzger with the pianist Arne Torger. Another Pianist was Gottfried Hefele (1951-2018).
The name was derived from the Ventian violin maker Santo Seraphin (1699 - 1758).
