Naive were an Italian dance music group.
The group
The Naive group was founded by the will of the 3 founders of Pooper Scooper Productions, Luca Lento, Vincenzo Callea and Roberto Terranova, and of the singer and co-author Marco Adragna. Singular debut that of the group that starts from their second single, instead of the first.
The first single, in fact, released in the spring of 2000 and entitled Welcome to Paradise, obtained a rather modest success in radio and discos. The famous team, however, does not give up and churns out after 9 months, in October 2000, a single with a planetary success, destined to remain for 9 months in a row at the top of the dance charts throughout Europe: the title is Looking for Happiness. The success will be repeated the following year, albeit to a lesser extent, by the third single: Joy Is.
The story of the Naives has an unexpected end. In 2002 the group decided to follow a record from the V2 label to Virgin. A new album and a new single, Time to Love, had been planned, but due to disagreements between the authors and the label (probably related to a change of genre of the album), the group was archived and never resumed, and not it is known if it will be taken up or permanently archived.
