Pierpaolo Turetta ( Este , 1964 ) is an Italian organist .
After graduating with Giancarlo Parodi from the Conservatory of Music "Fabonporti" in Trento in 1985, he studied composition with Fabio Vacchi at the Vicenza Conservatory , and the piano with Andrea Di Renzo at the Scuola Civica de Milan . In this last institute, he followed the old keyboard course with Emilia Fadini. He attended organ interpreting classes with Gaston Litaize , Ton Koopman and Guy Bovet .
He continued his musical training as part of the Swiss School under the direction of Lionel Rogg at the Geneva Conservatory of Music , where he stayed for four years.
Career :
In 1993, after finishing his studies in organ and improvisation, he won first prize for virtuosity with distinction; the jury also attributes to him an additional recognition - the Otto Barblan Award - for the interpretation of Variations on a recitative opus 40 by Arnold Schoenberg (president of the jury Guy Bovet) .
In 2002, in Biel , by performing Max Reger's Op. 57 , he won first prize at the Swiss International Organ Competition.
During his concerts, he performed the complete works of Robert Schumann , Johann Sebastian Bach , César Franck .
In collaboration with Radio Nazionale (classical music channel), he performed and recorded Olivier Messiaen 's complete organ works in seven concerts (November 2013-June 2014, Ljubljana ).
In 2013, he left the Venice Conservatory for the Cesare Pollini Conservatory of Music in Padua , where he teaches organ.
