The Exploding Boy is a Swedish band from Stockholm , the post-punk and New Wave plays, and thereby the style of the 1980 -years-oriented, but also indie rock has influences.
he band was founded in 2006 by Lars Andersson and Johan Sjöblom, who had previously played in different bands. Sjöblom had worked as a bassist of the band Fake Moss have appeared. Both had a similar taste in music and began to make music together. With three friends, she formed the band The Exploding Boy, which after a song by The Cure named . Her first appearance they had in May 2006 in Stockholm. Published in 2007 the self-titled debut album.

The band quickly found international attention. When the band in the fall of 2009 for the first time by Germany toured it was already on the Wave-Gotik-Treffen and occurred several times in the journal Gothic been presented. On October 18, 2013 appeared the fourth album of the band, Four , with the label Drakkar Entertainment . Niemiecki Stieg wrote in the journal Orcus about the album, the band was so "arrived in a quite serious league," was the album, however, partly "to smooth and smoothly".
