Boss is a label run by Sony BMG, created in 1998 by JoeyStarr, DJ and DJ Spank Naughty J and members of the French rap group NTM.
Boss is a recursive acronym for "Boss Of Scandalz Strategyz" On May 14, 1999, the label released its first compilation, BOSS Volume 1, comprising fifteen rappers including Lord Kossity, Mass FatCap, Sniper and Iron Sy1.
