The Vision Bleak spielen Horror Metal in Vollendung. Als Ulf Theodor Schwadorf (Empyrium) und Allen B. Konstanz (Nox Mortis) die Band im Jahr 2000 gründeten, ahnten sie noch nicht, dass ihre gemeinsame Band einst ein übergroßes Eigenleben entwickeln würde. Der theatralische und düster orchestrale Metal des Duos kennt keine Grenzen, wenn es um Opulenz geht: Doom und Death, Streicher und Operngesang, Horrorfilm-Soundtracks und düstere Belletristik speisen eine Musik, die im wahrsten Sinn des Wortes Gothic ist. Auf jedem ihrer bislang erschienenen Alben loteten Schwadorf und Konstanz verschiedene Dimensionen des Horrors aus: vom Tribut an verschiedene Horror-Klassiker auf "The Deathship Has A New Captain" (2004) über das an H.P. Lovecraft angelehnte Konzeptalbum "Carpathia – A Dramatic Poem" (2005) und das direktere und härtere "The Wolves Go Hunt And Prey" (2007) bis zur musikalischen und konzeptionellen Quintessenz mit "Set Sail To Mystery" und „Witching Hour“ 2013. The Vision Bleak erschaffen umfassende Kunst in Bild und Ton, die zudem wie geschaffen ist für die Bühne.
