Through the Eyes of the Dead ist eine amerikanische Deathcore-Band aus Florence, South Carolina, die 2003 gegründet wurde. Sie haben drei Full-Length-Alben, eine EP und ein Split-Album mit The Knife Trade veröffentlicht.
Die Band wurde 2003 von Justin Longshore gegründet, nachdem sich eine frühere Gruppe, Tellherisaidgoodbye, aufgelöst hatte. Ihr erstes Album wurde 2005 über Prosthetic Records veröffentlicht. Kurz zuvor verließen alle Mitglieder außer Longshore und Gunnels die Band, wobei Gunnels ein paar Monate später aus persönlichen Gründen ebenfalls entlassen wurde. Sie fügten dann neue Mitglieder hinzu, die als "Malice" Lineup bekannt wurden, aber auch sie trennten sich von der Band, bevor das dritte Studioalbum veröffentlicht wurde, so dass nur noch Jake Ososkie (Bass) und Justin Longshore (Gitarre) übrig blieben. Nachdem sie sich eine Auszeit genommen hatten, fanden sie sich wieder zusammen und veröffentlichten ihr drittes Album "Skepsis". Die Band glaubt, dass ihr aktuelles Lineup das stärkste ist und dass Skepsis eine Mischung aus allem darstellt, was die Band bisher gemacht hat und mehr. Zu den Einflüssen der Band gehören Morbid Angel, Blood Has Been Shed, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse (wie der Bandname andeutet, der möglicherweise von dem Cannibal Corpse Song "Staring Through the Eyes of the Dead" stammt), Meshuggah, Behemoth und At the Gates.
