Adam and the Ants fue una banda de rock británica activa a finales de los 70 y principios de los 80. El grupo original, que duró de 1977 a 1982, se hizo notable como banda de culto durante la transición de la era del punk rock de finales de la década de 1970 a la era del post-punk y la New Wave, y se destacó por su alto nivel y sus actuaciones en el escenario abiertamente sexualizadas. A finales de 1979, la formación de los músicos Dave Barbarossa, Matthew Ashman y Leigh Gorman, todos los cuales dejaron la banda en enero de 1980 por sugerencia del entonces manager de facto Malcolm McLaren, para formar el personal instrumentista de Bow Wow Wow.
