El 10 de julio de 2009, el grupo cambió su nombre por 78Violet, estando hasta el 9 de diciembre del 2015 con él, cuando ese mismo día las chicas anunciaron a través de Twitter su vuelta con el nombre de Aly & AJ, nuevamente.
