Jim Guthrie es un cantautor canadiense. Ha grabado tanto como solista como miembro de las bandas Islands, Royal City y Human Highway.
Nació y creció en Guelph, Ontario, y actualmente vive en Toronto.
Guthrie primero se hizo un nombre al lanzar una serie de casetes de producción propia y, posteriormente, lanzó álbumes en Three Gut Records. Fue nominado a un premio Juno por su álbum Now, More Than Ever.
