Carrie Marie Underwood, conosciuta come Carrie Underwood (Muskogee, 10 marzo 1983), è una cantante, attrice e cantautrice statunitense di genere country, venuta alla ribalta nel 2005, grazie alla sua vittoria della quarta stagione del talent show statunitense American Idol..
Nella sua carriera ha vinto numerosi premi tra cui sei Grammy Awards, sette American Music Awards, undici Academy of Country Music Awards e sedici Billboard Music Awards, e molti altri. Come compositrice è stata nominata ad un Golden Globes. Carrie Underwood ha vinto inoltre due Academy of Country Music Awards come Entertainer of the Year, è stata la prima artista donna a vincere il premio consecutivamente (2009-2010). Nel 2008 è diventata membro del Grand Ole Opry e nel 2009 è stata inserita nell Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame.
