Misconception is the debut studio album by the Chilean tech-thrash metal band Critical Defiance, originally released on February 8, 2019. Hailing from Villa Alemana, Chile, the band delivers a ferocious sound heavily inspired by the late-1980s Bay Area thrash metal scene, drawing strong stylistic comparisons to legendary acts like Dark Angel, Demolition Hammer, Sadus, and Kreator.
