Al Chemical's Lysergic Orchestra is a celebrated solo space rock album by former Hawkwind bassist Alan Davey, originally released in 2001. The project showcases Davey's signature trippy, electronic-heavy instrumental styling, blending driving basslines, experimental synthesizers, and psychedelic soundscapes.
The original 2001 record was self-released as a CDr in the UK and later saw reissues by Earthquake Records (2010) and Purple Pyramid / Cleopatra Records (2020). It features contributions from legendary Hawkwind frontman Robert Calvert (voice on "Moment of Madness") and Jez Huggett (saxophone).
