Captured Rotation is the debut solo album by English multi-instrumentalist and former Hawkwind bassist Alan Davey, originally released in 1996 through the Emergency Broadcast System (EBS) Records label. Written and recorded after his temporary departure from Hawkwind, the album allows Davey to fully explore his own space rock muse, layering heavy, Lemmy-influenced bass lines with hypnotic synthesizer sequences and psychedelic hard rock jams.

Davey famously performed almost every instrument on the record himself, highlighting his diverse musicianship
