The Ember Gone is the eighth studio album by French progressive technical death metal band Gorod, released on August 28, 2026, through Base Productions and Season of Mist.

The album serves as the follow-up to their 2023 release, The Orb. Clocking in at 43 minutes and 54 seconds, The Ember Gone finds the Bordeaux-based quintet leaning heavily into a more pensive, atmospheric, and progressive metal territory. While it retains the band's signature technical precision and complex structures, music critics note it trades some of the traditional, blistering tech-death aggression for jazz-fusion impulses, evocative songwriting, and multi-layered emotional themes.
