May 2020. You're on the Expo Line late at night heading to Downtown Santa Monica to check out the Third Street Promenade with your significant other. You've been told by your friends that it's like a ghost town over there -- not only from there, but from the train, too.
It's typically packed to the brim with riders heading home from a long day, but you see nobody else but one person from far away playing music. You start to feel uncomfortable as you approach the station. To your surprise, the others were right. It's...like a ghost town out here. Everything is closed.
You hold hands with your partner and hope that this uncomfortable silence doesn't last forever as you walk through the empty streets.
