In 2022, after having each released individually on a number of the same labels (Liminal Garden, Mobile Suits), two artists - Haunted Ghost and Painter & Canvas - began a collaborative project of their own. It started when Jakob (P&C) reached out about the possibility of doing a song together. After sending stems to Logan (HG) that song and fluidity of their workflow morphed the collaboration into an album, which itself turned into a concept. That concept being one album, two faces - having one side be lush ambient and the other being beat driven reinterpretations of those songs. So was born Algid / Gelid and so too was born the musical group Below Frost. As the seasons shift to winter here in the northern hemisphere, so brings the frost.
