This is 'dark chillhop', although I accept the subjectivity of that description. It's inspired by that sort of music, but filtered through my love of bands like Earth, Bohren Und Der Club of Gore, and The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble.

Album artwork by Charles Copeland. This is taken, as are the song titles, from Wood Folk at School by William J. Long (1903), which is a really cool public domain book about the hidden nature of animals.
