I prayed to the Lord and I was heard.
I called on Him and I was saved.
I trusted Him and He lifted me up.
I was stubborn for a long time: both before I was saved, and indeed after I was saved. I had fallen into idolatry. Combustion inhalation was my go-to for stress relief for a very long time, before I had renounced my atheism in 2014, before I realized at the moment of salvation who Christ really was in 2022, and through my entire life that you have known me if DMTFL was the beginning of our time on the screen together.
His grace was immense. The space He gave me to repent was lovingkindness. The suffering I endured, oftentimes through confusion, was the result of my own stumblingblock that I had laid in my own path. What happens when you pray to the Lord for healing while doing the very thing that is keeping you unwell? How can the Lord respond when we ask Him to give us the answer that is contrary to what we want to hear? God embodies truth and cannot lie, so He wasn't going to tarnish the purity of His Word for me, and yet God pours out grace, so He didn't let me perish in the way.
I am humbled and enthralled to reveal to you that the Lord has healed me of one of the biggest ailments of my life, a twelve-year marathon of idolatry centered towards inhalation of combustion. I have been freed from this, already now only five days into having quit the act of inhaling burning plant matter into my lungs, the improvement on my biology has been rapidly noted. Yet even more so, my spiritual state recognizes what has happened.
I could not have done this on my own. This was literally Him. This is exactly what I've been trying to show through my testimonies of Him in these recent years, that if you join yourself to Him, He will NEVER leave you, He will NEVER forsake you, He will SEAL you with the promise of everlasting life, and you will be REGENERATE.
Praise His Name. Praise His wonderful works. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 34:4 - "I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears."
Psalm 40:2-3 - "He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord."
Hosea 14:4 - "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him."
