The T'Pau "Greatest Hits" album released in 1997, often referred to as "Hits" in its 2005 reissue, is generally well-regarded as a solid collection of the band's best-known songs. Reviewers praise the album for showcasing the band's signature smooth pop sound and catchy hooks, with many appreciating the emotional depth of the songs. While some find the album a bit faceless, others see it as a strong comeback after a period of inactivity.
This compilation contains the best of their music including all the hit singles except Walk on air (which was such a minor hit that it barely registered on the charts), all recorded between 1987 and 1991. T'Pau re-formed to record another album that was released in 1998, but it didn't revive their career so they disbanded again. Those 1998 tracks aren't represented here, because this compilation was released in 1997.
