With "Go Deeper" Kid Aristides builds a melancholy world of synthesized bliss in which the gorgeous harmonies of the music provide the perfect cover of fog for the soul crushing despair that lies just beneath the surface.
While "Go Deeper" is a triumph of atmosphere, it seems almost like a distant cousin for the B side Final Fantasy V analog synth versions. Here we see Kid Aristides flexing his playing prowess on key tracks from the beloved game's soundtrack and giving them a warmth that even their SNES sources can't muster. The affair leaves one in awe and reflection at phantoms from lands that we can only imagine.
