Album Description
Available in:
Made using a Yamaha DX Reface FM Synthesizer, Arturia KeyStep Controller w/ Flex softsynth, and FL Studio 20 Signature Edition.

The first time in my life that I had a favorite band where I really went deep into the lore behind their work, it was Dream Theater from age 14 all the way into my adulthood. Even with the 2006-2010 half-decade of them being my favorite band well behind me by a decade, their influence has always reigned over the ways I've gone since. Still to this day, no band has compelled me to look into their members, history, trivia, and deepdive factuals like Dream Theater. I will never possess the progressive-virtuoso styling that any of those incredible musicians have, but in terms of general tone, I always wanted to dedicate something to the Dream Theater vibe.

Much of this is inspired by "Pull Me Under" and the orchestral moments of their early-mid '00s work (6DOIT/ToT), but deep down I have always had the wonder: "What if Dream Theater released a downtempo, techno, lo-key beat tape?" This is my attempt to inject the sound of early '90s and early '00s Dream Theater combined into an ambient techno, modern Wave and even Balearic Beat drenched sound if at all possible. Strongest influences aside from Dream Theater include Ital Tek and John Talabot.
