. . .Somewhere out there is a world beyond these sprawling streets and identical houses. At least, there used to be, I’ve been there before with you. I don’t really remember what it was like out there, though. I find myself missing it terribly. My hope is that, someday, maybe someday soon, you’ll return and take me back out to see the lights and the forests, the waves and the skyscrapers, all those valleys and canyons and sand dunes and mountains, and all of the other things that I don’t quite remember anymore.
Maybe I can show you around my home when you come, too, if you’ll allow me. I like to walk about and find interesting stuff nearby. I found a place out past the bridge where they’re building a beautiful temple just like the ones I used to talk to you about all that time ago! There’s a big field too, with a giant tower. I’m not sure what it’s for, but it’s gotta reach all the way up into heaven it’s so big! Most things around here are too far away from me, and my legs get too tired to walk to them, but I haven’t stopped trying. I take a lot of notes on my walks. I’ve put together a field guide of sorts for you to sift through, if you get the time. I’ll let you know if I find any new things you might want me to tell you about.
I miss you so much, and I hope we can see one another again real soon. It’s been very dark without you. It’s like the sky won’t clear up or something. I’m not sure. But it makes me feel sad, and you always brighten my days up, so don’t take too long!
I’ll write to you again soon.
I love you!

“you could mistake the suburbs for dead given how many ghosts there are.”
"Field Guide's approach to ambient-electronic sounds expansive and never ending. There's an uncanny quality to its mix of electronic drones and digital field recordings, it's as if you're stubbornly zooming into a vector image trying to find a rasterized pixel that doesn't exist."
