Album Description
Available in:
Celadon Plaza is proud to present one of the most obscure and unique Vaporwave experiments of the past four years on tape for the first time.

We're all familiar with Mallsoft's themes and associated aesthetics of defunct retail, products and stores. The corporate and bland muzak samples allow us to be immersed in a world where we are still surrounded by these products and stores. It's a incredible source of nostalgia to remember the glory days of these stores and the hours many of us spent in them.

The mysterious Donald McRonald's music shares this same idea - except it asks a different question:

What about defunct food?

Food Court 無線接続 was released in 2020 and has captivated me ever since. It silently dropped in February of that year, and I would discover it a bit later on from some friends who stumbled upon it on accident. It's an eerie little Mallsoft album that samples some of the same muzak and lounge we've come to expect from Mallsoft, but does it in a shorter, more abrupt way to fit the theme of a fast-food meal. The associated aesthetics of defunct fast-food chain advertisements, menu items and more allow an quick nostalgic immersion in a world of Saturday morning breakfasts and quick, late-night meals.
