Hackett’s recent touring schedule has taken him to both sides of the equator from Peru to Iceland and this globetrotting experience inspired his latest musical offering titled ‘The Night Siren’. The title is a warning of the dark times that we could be heading towards if humanity chooses to go down the road of nationalist politics and xenophobia. The album does however give us an alternative which is to practice companionship, fellowship and compassion.
An extraordinary album from start to finish with each song taking the listener on a musical journey around the world. A sense of uncertainty about where we are heading, ‘The Night Siren’ is a stirring wake-up call for the people of the world to come together peacefully. --- metalwani.com
