Album Description
Available in:
Best" by Roger Taylor is a nice overview of his solo career outside of Queen though it only covers part of his work. For whatever reason he has completely ignored his side band, The Cross, for which he was the lead singer. The Cross never produced any of the hits that Roger did under his own name but that doesn't mean they didn't have any impact (for example, "Heaven for Everyone" was a top 10 hit for Queen but it was originally a song on The Cross' debut album.)
Anyway I'm pleased he did cover something from all his solo albums, even including his first (and only) non-album single, "I Wanna Testify." Odd that he skipped over "Pressure On," the first single from his "Electric Fire" album. It should have been included here.
Still, this is a great taster for the wide ranging and eclectic styles Roger used in his non-Queen writing. Some great stuff here that any Queen fan should give a listen.
