"13 Songs You May Or May Not Have Heard Before" is a retrospective album from singer-songwriter Richard Shindell, released December 15, 2011 on the Amalgamated Balladry label. On Thirteen Songs You May Or May Not Have Heard Before Richard Shindell revisits some of his best known songs with a fresh eye and new arrangements, stripping the songs down to their basic framework and rebuilding them with a more intimate feel. This new approach puts the emphasis on Shindell's stunning acoustic guitar work and expressive storytelling, with subtle instrumental support from long-time Shindell collaborators Larry Campbell, Lincoln Schleifer, Marc Shulman, Sara Milonovich, Viktor Krauss and others. This collection includes one new song called "Satellites" as well as songs from throughout his 20+ year career.
