Album Description
Available in:
Where I Find My Heaven compiles the Gigolo Aunts' finest moments from their landmark album Flippin' Out, as well as an assortment of B-sides, EP tracks, and covers. Given the range of availability in these tracks, this collection is not only a great introduction for those who may be unfamiliar with the Aunts' captivating brand of power-pop, but also an essential piece for those who have already succumbed to their charms. Striking singles like "Cope," "Mrs. Washington," and "Where I Find My Heaven" show why the band is one of the finest guitar-pop bands of the '90s. Their cover of BMX Bandits' "Serious Drugs" remains true to the original and sounds like a natural choice, while the band pays homage to a less obvious influence with their revved-up version of the Smiths' "Ask." Also included are the energetic "Take Me On" and "Walk Among Us" from Full-On Bloom, plus the ultra-rare tracks "Shame" and "Weird Sister."
