Sandra Menges, née Sandra Ann Lauer le 18 mai 1962 à Sarrebruck en Allemagne (plus tard Sandra Cretu), est une chanteuse pop allemande plus connue en France uniquement par son prénom Sandra. Elle s'est rendue célèbre grâce à la chanson (I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena, hommage à Marlène Dietrich, qui fut un succès international en 1985.
Sandra fait partie des artistes cultes des années 1980. Elle a vendu plus de 30 millions de disques dans le monde1 et son plus grand succès demeure Maria Madgalena, écoulé à plus de cinq millions d'exemplaires (dont 404 000 en France). D'autres singles ont également eu un grand succès international : In the Heat of the Night, Innocent Love, Hi ! Hi ! Hi !, Everlasting Love, Heaven Can Wait, Secret Land, We'll Be Together, Around My Heart, Hiroshima, etc.
Dans les années 1990, Sandra a également participé à la formation musicale Enigma, créée par son mari de l'époque Michael Cretu. On entend sa voix sur plusieurs singles d'Enigma, notamment les plus célèbres (Sadeness, Mea Culpa, Return to Innocence, etc.), où on peut l'entendre chanter quelques phrases en français.
En 2012, Sandra revient avec un nouvel album Stay In Touch .
