Simon Alexander Ward is a Canadian musician, born on December 27, 1983, who has achieved significant recognition as a principal songwriter and frontman. He founded The Strumbellas in 2008 in Toronto, Canada, where he served as the band's vocalist for a decade.

Under the name The Strumbellas, the group released five studio albums, including *My Father and the Hunter* (2012), *We Still Move on Dance Floors* (2013), *Hope* (2016), *Rattlesnake* (2019), and *Part Time Believer*. The band's work includes the Billboard #1 Alt Rock hit "Spirits," which achieved Gold, Platinum, and 4xPlatinum status internationally. Ward has also released a solo album titled *Simon And The Island* in 2021.

Beyond The Strumbellas, Ward has been involved with other projects, including the grunge group Soup, and has collaborated with artists such as Deepend, Skytech, UNKLFNKL, and Fedde Le Grand. His work has received features in various media, including placements with Google Pixel, T Mobile, and Coca-Cola, and contributions to Netflix Original productions like "The Half Of It" and "Welcome To Marwen," as well as music featured on the soundtrack for "The Sims." Ward has also appeared on American Idol, CNN, and CBS' "Bull."
