elina ijäs is a Sámi artist and songwriter from Guovdageaidnu and Gáivuotna. With a distinctive voice and a strong musical expression that holds both power and vulnerability, she creates a soundscape where North Sámi language, personal stories, and strong emotions melt together.

In 2023, she was named Young Artist of the Year at the Sámi Music Awards, and she has quickly established herself as an artist to watch from Sápmi. In October 2025, she released her debut EP Luoitte, and the singles Mearragáttis, Biekkat, and Guhkkin dál have been Urørt-recommended.

Her music moves at the intersection of folk, pop, and joik, and is characterized by an organic and atmospheric soundscape. Through honest and poetic lyrics, she explores identity, belonging, and longing. With her stage presence and a steadily growing audience, elina ijäs is establishing herself as a new and exciting artist from Sápmi.
