Tray Deee, born Tracy Lamar Davis on April 27, 1966, in Long Beach, California, is an American rapper best known as a member of the platinum-selling group Tha Eastsidaz alongside Snoop Dogg and Goldie Loc. He was once signed to Death Row Records before joining Snoop Dogg's Dogghouse Records (later Doggystyle Records), and is also a member of the group Diirty OGz alongside Tha Chill, Kurupt and Weazel Loc.
Before pursuing music, Davis was an active member of the Insane Crips gang in Long Beach. He first appeared on record in 1994, guesting on "21 Jumpstreet" from Snoop Doggy Dogg's Murder Was the Case soundtrack, followed by features on Doggfood (1995) and Tha Doggfather (1996). In 1999 he joined Tha Eastsidaz, who released two albums, Tha Eastsidaz (2000) and Duces 'n Trayz: The Old Fashioned Way (2001). He was also affiliated with the car club-street band IV Life Family and later signed to its associated label, IV Life Records.
In February 2005, Tray Deee was sentenced to twelve years in prison for attempted murder following a 2003 incident in which he fired at rival gang members. He served nine years at the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo, California, and was released on April 3, 2014. While incarcerated, he recorded the mixtape Long Beach State of Mind, Vol. I on a smartphone in a makeshift vocal booth in his cell. After his release, he reunited with Goldie Loc for live performances at "Krush Groove 2014" and announced plans for a debut solo album. His subsequent solo studio albums include The 3rd Coming (2016), The General's List II (2018), The Certified Project (2019) and Malice (2023); Tha Eastsidaz reunited for the album Still Easty in 2024. In 2016, he stated it was unlikely another Eastsidaz album would follow, though the group later proved him wrong.
Beyond music, Tray Deee has appeared in films including A Thin Line Between Love and Hate (1996), Baby Boy (2001), The Wash (2001) and Crime Partners (2003), as well as the television series Tha Eastsidaz (1999/2000), and lent his voice to Grand Theft Auto Online in 2025.
