Mysie was raised in South London with Ugandan roots. She is an artist, producer, and songwriter who blends electronic dance music with various genres.

Classically trained as a pianist, her creative journey began as a dancer in a krump collective. There she discovered experimental hip-hop and artists like J Dilla, Flying Lotus, and Thundercat, which fueled her passion for boundary-pushing music. Since 2019, Mysie has released three acclaimed EPs, won the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award from Apple Music, and been embraced by BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music, Apple Music One, and others. Her 2024 project CONTROLLA received over 6.8 million streams. Her 2025 release SALTY further develops her sound with breakbeats and textured rhythms inspired by Peshay, Nookie, and Machinedrum, paired with atmospheric chords reminiscent of Yaeji and Lone.
